Welcome to the Pickens
County Citizens Advisory
Council

email the Citizens Advisory Council

Mr. Phil Anderson, Chair

The Citizens Advisory Council for Reforming the Pickens County Commission Structure was chartered after Pickens County voters passed a non-binding referendum last year to transition from a sole commissioner to a multiperson commissioner form of government. State Senator Chip Pearson and State Representative Tom Graves appointed the Pickens County Democrat and Republican parties to handle the development of a multi-person commissioner structure. Forty Pickens County Citizens have answered the call to design the system. A calander of meetings will be published and the public is welcome to attend and provide inputs to all committee and subcommittee meetings. Public Forums will be held throughout the county in July soliciting citizen feedback. Please review the resources and FAQ for additional information. See also the Pickens Progress.
